Classic Poem

The retired empress Jotomon sent word, " Have [Ko-Shikibu's] Chinese robe with a dew design sent to me; I'd like to use it for the cover of my sutra. " In having the robe sent to her, I tied the following to it:
The dew that formed remains; to what shall I compare that transient one who faded?
