‘Pikes him
And dikes him’,
In scorn saiden he.
He pikes, he dikes
On lengthe as him likes,
How best may be.
Scatered are the Scottes,
Hodered in their hottes—
Nevere they ne thee!
Right if I rede,
They tumbed in Twede
That woned by the see.
