Epigram
When Town or Borough riotous is grown,
A Party of Reformers strait go down,
Who civil Broils accustom'd to appease
With knock down Arguments persuade to Peace.
But, Insolence of Faction to chastise
Some easier Scheme might Governors devise.
Suppose for Instance, all Disputes to end,
A thorough pac'd Attorney they should send.
There needs but little Military force,
For one such Lawyer will distress them worse,
Than Companies of Foot or Troops of Horse.
