Eternal Values

Whatever else be lost among the years,
God still abides, and love remains the same.
And bravery will glimmer through men's tears,
And truth will keep its clean and upright name.
As long as life lasts there will ever be
Kindness and justice and high loyalty.
In a bewildered world these things will hold
The human heart from darkness and despair.
Old as the sun and moon and stars are old,
Remaining constant, they are ever there,
Lodestars for men to steer their courses by.
The eternal things of life can never die.
