Classic Poem

Now half our host this Pagan had o'erthrown,
With giant hond and mighty puissaunce,
When three brave youths in fighting fields well known,
For high exploits of fairest chevisaunce,
Against the Caliph did themselves advaunce;
Their angry courage they did bravely whet,
And boldly rushed on with couched launce;
Fierce Saladin they furiously beset,
And in his wild career they did him somewhat let.
