Classic Poem

Girodet took the broad and easy path
Of broken colour and Hebraic wrath;
Tackled the Deluge, roamed from clime to clime,
And failed to make a picture every time.
To glimpse the obvious, by brushmen taught,
The broken colour marks the broken thought.
