Grandma's Pasta

Grandma’s Pasta

It was as good as gold
Coming home on a warm dreadful day
When grandma comes home it makes my day
When the tomato’s hop into the pot
You know what’s going down
My body is shaking, I’m about to drown
Seeing the warm, luscious, red sauce in the pot
You know it’s going to hit the spot
When the pasta jumps into the boiling water
I can barely sit up straight if it takes much longer
Finally the pasta jumps on my plate
Now it’s time to stuff my face
