Henrie Sandys

Anagr: Rise and Shine

How bright this rising glory doth appeare,
East never yet brought forth a light so cleare,
Nor did such beauties in one morne display;
RISE then AND SHINE great Sun to all, and may
Your lustre never sett or find decay.
Sad change, how soone the day is overcast,
And to the end doth of its journey hast,
Night thus our Sun obscures who his bright beames
Doth hide in Thetis lap and fluid streames;
Yet as the Sun rises with greater light,
So doth he set to RISE AND SHINE more bright.
