I have a pretty little flow'r
I have a pretty Little Flow'r,
Which in the woods I found,
The same I hundred times an hour
May take out of the Ground,
And keep it dry as long's I will
In either of my hands;
But finally Replant it still,
And there full Fresh it stands.
Nay! when I set it on a Roof,
It even then does grow,
For me and mine Assigns behoof,
As formerly below.
Its Colour is Vermillion red,
Go, give it now a Name;
Tho' small, yet was't for man's sake bred,
To men at last it came.
In likeness of a Skipper's Cap,
Or Hat of Cardinal;
Here th' Persian Tarbant gives a tap
To both and bids me call
It after him, hap what may hap,
So therefore we say all.
