If thou wouldest roses scent

If thou wouldest Roses Scent
Mend, and make more excellent,
Then thou formerly hadst them,
Plant but Garlick to their Stem;
Likewise, if a Friend of thine
Should to Goodness so incline,
As to lead a Vertuous life,
Let him take a Scolding Wife:
Thus Natura works, you see
Sometimes by Antipathy.
