Keep this Lily

I

Keep this lily that I fold
In your hushed hand;
Though they tell me that you sleep,
You will understand.

II

Keep this tear upon your cheek;
And this tear its mate;
They will tell you of the tears
That I weep too late.

III

Keep this smile I give to you,
Born mid shame and pain;
Keep it for I never shall
Smile on earth again

IV

Keep these kisses on your eyes;
Hoard their memory,
So when I shall kiss them then,
They will ope for me.
