Lady of Chaos

Where has she come from, this lady
who churns up our calm fountains?
Has no one warned her to be wary
of our own cold winds?

Never have we seen a passion
such as hers. It is said
that she was abandoned by some tribe,
marooned by some fugitive ship,
and dropped here by a light, rising cloud.

It is said,
it has been said …
but still she spreads confusion as she likes,
bends the winds to blow the way she likes.
She has aroused all our instincts
and holds us all enthralled.
