Madrigal

U NHAPPIE Light,
Doe not approach to bring the wofull Day,
When I must bid for ay
Farewell to Her, and live in endlesse Plight.
Faire Moone , with gentle Beames
The Sight who never marres,
Long cleare Heavens sable Vault, and you bright Starres
Your golden Lockes long glasse in Earths pure Streames,
Let Phaebus never rise
To dimme your watchfull Eyes:
Prolong (alas) prolong my short Delight,
And if yee can, make an eternall Night.
