August Awakenings

Lips flavoured of moon
Luminous and suspended
Cresting somewhere between wax and wane
Brushing past bangs and clouds
Dazzled in twilight's sparkling eyes
Shaded crevices
Desiring to be explored and owned
There's no oxygen on the moon

And beaded straps slip
Flaunting shoulders sheen
Exposing dew on sheeted skin
And collar bone
Salt falling like diamonds tossed
Did you make a wish?
Ravenous
To devour this evening sky
