I dare to say the words,
Goodbye
To one who stands so close
Starring at me
Continually.
I dare to utter the phrase
Begone from me,
To a heart that beats
Lub-dub, lub-dub,
In rythm with mine,
Attempting to run away
Yet clinging closer than my skin.
Leave me!
The lips speak, actions join in
But hearts entangle
In an everlasting hug
Drawing some unknown strength
From each other
To carry on
Though separated by space
And time.
A million and one attempts made
To sever a bond
Created from eternity,
Strong resolves made
Cast in iron
Only to receive a single word
And iron melts with intense heat
Resolves liquidate, flow away
As hearts going in opposite direction
At top speed
Make a U-turn
Return to original space
With an immediacy quite alarming.
I dare to say goodbye
To a heart that was mine
From creation itself.
