The apple was shiny and smelled so nice
I shut my eyes tight and took a big bite.
Slowly I munched with perfect delight
It was juicy and sweet and oh, so nice.
I opened my eyes to bite once more
Not dreaming of what there was in store.
There in my apple, (please do not laugh)
Something was wriggling, but only half!
