You left me on the doorstep,
all broken and torn,
my life felt like a thunderstorm,
I struggled to keep my head up high,
I felt as though the air was sucked out of my lungs,
but hey, I survived it all,
I made it through the depth of downfall,
thanks to my own strength,
I am alive.
