Year
Welcome sun in bright blue sky
on an Autumn day in October
The leaves are shining yellow and gold
and some are fluttering down.
The birds all sound so happy
I enjoy their tinkling tunes
sparrows, tits and finches
all finding morsels soon.
Every second day is grey
and every other sunny
Evenings darken early
Mornings are blacker too
But sunrises in the mornings
are so glorious day by day
And sunsets are amazing
when clouds are far away.

Mary, I love the imagery and beautiful autumnal setting of this well penned poem.
