Why when she sees me
Does her beautiful smile turn into a frown
And why when I speak
Does she choke on my words
Why when I face her
Does she turn away
And why when I breathe
Does she pinch her nose
Why when I walk
Does she tremble with uncertainty
And why when I reach out to her
Does she pull away

Why do I feel like I’ve dipped my heart in acid
And why do I feel the shadow of Guilt breathing down my neck
Why did I touch the parts untold to the world
And why did I keep my hand there when I felt Guilt eating away at my flesh
