Wet  leafs random toss by autumn gale,

hue stained bold foliage unfurls, 

brown, golden amber, red-orange curls,

into town or country setting thrust

Thin laid  ice chill air might plummet,

slim azure sky wing creatures flourish,

palm warbler, barred owl, cedar waxwing  perish,

orchard fall strain on moss cloaked branch  summit

Stout heart trudge on rust decay meander,

pockmark mud stone surface brittle,

black cloud grain spiced wind counts for little,

to pale shade green paddock’s dry candour 

Daylight glow cold shoulder summer tint,

tan quartz  beach once boisterous ghost world silent,

August lakeshore swarm a breed less ardent,

weathervane gloom monger doleful hint

Gleaming  moon  plunge or peak as lunar auspice,

outcrop toiler eggplant harvest purple struck,

breezy whoop of yield beneath the groundswell pluck,

amid a sullen grey November hospice
