Most weeds, whilst young

Most Weeds, whilst young,
An easy hand can pluck;
But when grown strong,
Men then must pull and tuck.
This thus apply, Friend,
To thine Inward State,
What thoughts should die,
With speed eradicate:
Make no Delay
That Quick grass to destroy,
Before it may
The best of Plants annoy;
When once it sets
Its running Strings about,
And deep ground gets,
'Tis hard to Root it out.
