No Respecter of Persons

Why, God may even go to church
And listen to the hymns and prayers,
Just as he walks among the corn
And breathes its homely, incensed airs;

And those adventurers of God's—
His ragged, bitter, rebel clan—
Forget He sometimes walks beside
A comfortable righteous man.
