Our Silly Little Sister

To begin with she wouldn't have fallen in
If she hadn't been acting so silly.
First thing we saw was her hair ribbon there
On top like a water lily.

In less than a minute we'd gotten her out
And set her down quickly to drain,
And do you know what she said through her dripping hair?
" I want to go swimming again. "

" Swimming? " we cried. " Do you think you can swim? "
She sat there so scowly and black.
" Much better than you can, besides I don't care! "
We couldn't think what to say back.
