Pipedreams

Conquering Alexander had
a tiger's whiskers,
and what a sword in his hand!
and what fists —
worth millions!

He sat and sulked, sulked —
a whim.
Did something get away?
Everybody licking and licking and
getting fat —
what a shock
for the conqueror of the world.

" What does he want? "
He says:
" Ha ha ha ha — don't block the sunlight. "
Behold the power of wisdom
over mere weaponry.

How wonderful the charity of the bankrupt!
The free heart's worshipper
laughs, in my heart the wretch
laughs, rejects and curses
the hoarded wealth and plunder
and kicks them away.
