In Praise of Winchester

Me liketh ever the lengere the bet
By Wingester, that joly cite:
The town is good and wel y-set;
The folk is comely on to see.

The air is good bothe inne and oute;
The cite stont under an hille;
The riveres renneth all aboute;
The town is ruled upon skille.
