If you want a great revival
From South to Arctic Pole,
If you want the blood of Jesus
To make the sin-sick whole,
If you want to see God's kingdom
Come in with mighty power,
If you want to see our nation
A strong and righteous power,
Then pray, Christian, pray!

If you want to hear your pastor
Preach fervently with love,
If you want to win lost sinners
To Christ and “Home” above,
If you want the Holy Spirit
To teach you of true worth,
If you want to see the glory
Of God upon this earth,
Then pray, Christian, pray!

If you want the sparkling waters
To flood your thirsty soul,
If you want to see religion
In tidal waves that roll,
If you want to send the Gospel
To continents afar,
If you want to see an ending
To ghastly, bloody war,
Then pray, Christian, pray!

If you want to follow Jesus
And honor His dear Name,
If you want the fire enkindled
Into a holy flame,
If you ever hope to finish
The task you have begun,
If you want the loving Father
To say to you, “Well done,”
Then pray, Christian, pray!
