Step out upon the promise,
Take hold upon his word;
He never will forsake you,
Thro' him be now restored
Step out ... upon the promise!
His blood will sin atone;
The promise will not save you,
But faith in him alone,
Will save you, will save you,
Will save you just now.
Step out upon the promise,
It is for you and me;
Give up! in faith believing,
His great salvation see.
Step out upon the promise,
And grieve his love no more;
Accept him — now receive him,
He 's waiting to restore, step out.
