Purananuru - Part 233

Let it be a lie! Let it be a lie like the story of the discus
fashioned of fine iron supposed to be owned by Akutai
who performed strong and noble feats, who gave away elephants
with their huge feet to those who came to him in their need!
Let it be a lie, that in the chest of Evvi, on which the huge
pendant hangs, whose weapons were murderous in war, overlord
of a great gathering of bards, there are many
impressive wounds, as the insistent voice proclaims in the morning!
