Responsibility

Man is not evil when he stands alone,
'Tis in the aggregate he loses truth,
And builds him up life's weakness by his ruth.
No single conscience makes its brother moan,
The slaving toiler withered to the bone,
The wasting age ere life hath garnered youth; —
No single soul hath done this; each and all,
We add a pebble to a mighty wall
That shuts this world from freedoMand God's truth.
