When words begin to flow like warm honey
Meaning may so easily surrender to passion
Lost in fantasy with closed eyes and a smile
Yet sentences form themselves all the while
The heart beats firm, but imposes no ration
As the soul takes a breath, glimpsing infinity

What gets said in longhand or even printed
Might not be the same as was in the mind
Whether read in silence or spoken out loud
Words become real, no longer in the cloud
They may begin rough, but can be refined
Glittering and shiny, like being just minted
