To the Right Worshipfull, Thomas Trevor Knight
The Barons of th' exchequer placed are
Hourely of the Kings rents to have a care;
On which their trust and faithfull providence,
Most truely doth depend the Kings expence:
And he deceiv'd by each knavish Groome,
Suddenly might to meane estate become.
Therefore doth he th' exchequer Barons make,
Reckoning of his revenues right to take,
Endeavouring to take care how it doth goe,
Very well say you then mo treasure tho :
One faithfull heart unto our Soveraigne, having
Recorded his occasions, which are craving
Ever more treasure , therefore wisty saving.
