The Road to Stardom
She never studied Shakespeare, nor the plays of Shaw or Ibsen,
Her knowledge was, to say the least, pathetic;
But in evening-gowns she glittered like the fashion-plates of Gibson,
And she always was considered quite athletic.
Her dancing was delightful, though she never heard of Mozart,
The learning she pursued brought her no wrinkles;
But the press and public hail her as an actress rare who knows art,
And a motion-picture star who really twinkles!
