Tomorrow be the Day
So well belov'd by me;
Oh! bring me to thy Courts, my God,
I long thy Face to see.

Oh! may I never enter there
With Spirit light, or vain;
Or trifling in thy presence sit,
Un-fed return again!

Give me an understanding Heart,
Thy Precepts all to learn;
And if the truth should not be spoke
A Judgment to discern.

Oh! for a sympathizing Heart,
To bear with Preachers then;
The humbling thought that I am Dust,
And they no more than Men.
