She Promises to Hold a Secret in Confidence

This page, discreetly, will convey
how, on the moment that I read it,
I tore apart your secret
not to let it be torn away
from me—and I will further say
what firm insurance followed:
those paper fragments, I also swallowed.
This secret, so dearly read—
I wouldn't want one shred
out of my chest, to be hollowed.
