Three of a Series of Thirty-Eight Poems

Men of the marketplace boast their cunning,
Yet in the Way they show child's foolishness
Crawling over each other in boasting and show,
Unaware of the end they shall meet.
How could they see the Master of Mystery,
Observing the world in his flagon of jade,
Fading away, leaving Heaven and Earth,
Riding Change into the Never-Ending?
