to be very wise:

such and such eventuates,
perforce beyond further peradventure:
ergo, you must not love.
It must be very nice
to feel nothing, know everything,
and be able to sit
the chair of philosophy,
or is it anthropology,
or is it psycho-analysis
in an American university:
I should like so much
to be able to say,
perforce beyond further peradventure,
ergo, you must not live.
But it is very hard
for a such and such
to be very wise.
