Three Sweethearts

Das macht den Menschen glücklich

It makes a man feel happy,
It drains him to the dregs,
When he has three fair sweethearts
And just one pair of legs.

I visit the first in the morning;
I seek the second at night;
The third does not wait, but comes to me
At noon in a blaze of light.

Farewell, my three fair sweethearts,
Two legs are all I've got;
I'll go and make love to Nature
In some more quiet spot.
