Wise nature here has done her kindest part

Wise nature here has done her kindest part
And only left the lighter strokes to art
Well pleasd to shew an effort of her power
Combining all the riches of her store
Youth virtue sweetness in this lovly flower
Not the mild zephyre in a vernal morn
O'er vales of roses or of violets borne
Could equal pleasure to my sense impart
Or chear so much a fond maternal heart
Replete with candour is her charming mind
Grave not severe benevolent and kind
While most conspicious in her graceful mein
Neatness and taste and elegance are seen
