Zu fragmentarisch ist Welt und Leben

Life in this world is a muddled existence —
Our German professor will give me assistance.
He knows how to whip the whole thing into order;
He'll make a neat System and keep it in line.
With scraps from his nightcap and dressing-gown's border
He'd fill all the gaps in Creation's design.
