Best not to grow too fond of a person —

you do that, then
when you paaaaaaaaart,
it just kills you.

What to do with you,
so serious, so sane?
This life is a dream,
just play, go crazy!

You're a vessel
full of fresh tea leaves.
After I enter,
I forget the old tea,
I forget the old tea.

She looked so tender,
a quiver of flowers,

I placed my arrows in
and bore it on my back!

But now I see the quiver was
a skin of lies.

Dam up the water
to make lodging for moonlight,
summer is no more.

Entrust yourself to Amida's original vow.
All who entrust themselves to the original vow,
through the boon of being grasped, never abandoned,
will realize the supreme enlightenment.

Liberation's circle of light has no limits;
all who come in contact with this light, he has taught,
are freed from existence and from nonexistence,
so rely on the equity of his enlightenment.

The light of his wisdom is immeasurable;
of all finite beings, each and every one,
none do not receive his light, blazing like the dawn,
so take refuge in his light, which is true and real.

Amida, since his achievement of buddhahood,
has now passed through ten kalpas.
His dharma-body's circle of light is endless,
illuminating the world's blind ignorance.

They who sincerely attain the true heart of faith
while constantly uttering Amida's holy name,
will always keep in their hearts thoughts of his vow,
and wish to repay his great benevolence.
