Indonesian poet Iwan Jaconiah was born in Niki Niki, Timor and now lives in Moscow. He enjoys literature, art, history, travel, basketball, and blues. Publications include poetry books in his native language Bahasa Indonesia; Tapisan Jemari (2005), Rontaan Masehi (2013), and Hoi! (2018).
He was the first ASEAN poet that participated in the International Poetry Festival “Taburetka”, Monchegorsk, Murmansk, Russia, August 26, 2017. Also, the first Indonesian poet that has invited to take part in the X International Literary Festival “Chekhov Autumn", Yalta, Crimea, Russia, October 21-24, 2019.
His work has appeared in various newspapers and anthologies in Indonesia. He is a Ph.D program awardee from Russian Federation for studying Culturology at Russian State Social University.
