Night Tide

Sunset bleeds violet

as the night devours day.

Sun-baked luminous sky blue,

smudging against endless flat indigo.

Last glow of rosy light ribboned underneath.

Rainbow trout belly swimming the evening sky,

as stars pebble the stream of burgeoning darkness.

Waves of nightfall flow to the shores of the opalescent moon.
