Crabapple Brook

Spring sets the scene among
celestial dawn-pink clouds.

On the face of the water:
the shapes of fish,
each one trailing flowers

Our world forgets the
otherness
of numinous green things
While these trees compete
to dye light sands
with their rosy, dappled silk.
