If the Gipsy man is weary,
There's a horse in the farmer's stall;
If the Gipsy child is hungry,
There's a hen near the granary wall;
If the Gipsy lads are thirsty,
There's beer enough for them all;
And if there's nought in the Gipsy's hand,
There are wealthy Gorgios in all the land.
