To the Right Worshipfull, Sir John Denham

If any for the hony in your hive,
Onely for your owne selfe you did contrive,
Having the question, had men hony , fram'd,
No cause they'le finde, your name should be declaim'd.

Deedes of your charity you well expresse,
Endeavouring to helpe the comfortlesse:
New houles built for almes which you erected,
Have your true worthinesse sav'd undetected.
And answer fully truely to the question,
Men had your hony , or but bad digestion.
