What is Desired on the Tomb

Having seen in this spinning world
That, though often rising to sit in state,
Sin prospers, decking herself in purple,
While Virtue, humbled, mourns in the courtyard
And presents her head to the axe;
The inustice of man is still
Redisposed most justly by God:
As the King, reinstated, banishes clouds
And the nation's glory rises on high;
At last, escaping the earth
FELLTHAM leaves here his mortal remains.]
