Paris to London

by Pippo

The ride up is mundane though I think of the plane crumbling like Lego as we lift off.

As we descend the titans that loft and linger gently shuffle, heads bowed beneath the stars like monks.

God so enraged pinches our heads for attempting to get so close to him or perhaps he is carefully holding our ears to stop our brains from leaking out.

i think of the plane falling apart as the pressure builds in my head.

Poems about Flight and Flying

These are poems about flight, poems about flying, poems about flights of fancy, and poems about things that fly like planes, jets, kites, leaves, butterflies, birds and bees...

Flight
by Michael R. Burch

It is the nature of loveliness to vanish
as butterfly wings, batting against nothingness
seek transcendence...

Learning to Fly

We are learning to fly
every day...

learning to fly—
away, away...
