67 Unworthynese No Let in the Persuit of the Greatest Attainments Because Grace is Free -

Unworthynese no let in the persuit of the greatest attainments because grace is free.

A sence of my unworthynese
shall never be my let
of grace Ile seek the Largest mess
and great things strive, to get

Whatsoe'ver any have atain'd
both as to grace, and peace
I will try, if it may be gain'd
while last's, my short lifes lease

Thou hast not set bounds to thy grace
and therfore why should I
I will then always seek thy face
For things both great, and high

My own unworthynese I'le take
To make an argument
That thou thy sweet, free grace, mayst make
in me more emenent

The best of saincts, have been the worst
of sinners at somtimes
Grace, has this bond asunder burst
and gloriously shines,

Ther's nothing that will soe much turn
to thy free graces praise
As to work wonders, on a worm
t'will make others to maize

Then Lord, though nothing I deserve
yet glorifie thy grace
Unto me, always largly carve
that I may grow apace

Nothing will serve. me but the best
because thy grace. is free
I neither can, nor will, take rest
untill I perfect bee

I can but goe without att last
the thing which I doe crave
Yet I will hold the promise fast
What you ask you shall have

The stronger sin, the more I'le plead
that stronger is thy grace
Therfore that cant att all impead
but it shall dy apace.

What is there then, can hinder mee
from grace, and comforts growth
(Seeing thy grace, is allways free
and unto all held forth)

But unbeleife, take that away
and then I shall mount, up
Apace to an eternall day
when fil'd shall be my cup
