Member Poem

Muddy beaver tail
whacks the shin of the sign post,
flings chocolate batter.

Beavers work off road
with the highway repair crew.
Hard hats, flashlights, jaws.

Last night the beavers
got into the coffee urn.
Up till noon, pissed off.

Overnight, the woods
became a pasture bristling
with sharpened pencils.
