BOXCAR

Okay

I admit I forgot the boxcar

but I did plant sprigs

of that nameless Amazonian

herb all along the beach

I ringed the blast zone with

crudely whittled dolls

and, because a man's home is his castle,

I added some tiny pennants

But I forgot the boxcar

and the count escaped again,

animating a wax effigy rolling

out of town on two steel rails

and already planning his next

mind-searing scheme
 

for world domination
